We fell in love with the cottage within five minutes! It is absolutely
beautiful even better than we expected. The cottage has everything that you could
possibly need. We loved the lounge especially the beautiful fire.
Also the kitchen
is great to cook and look out at the beautiful views. I cannot express enough what
a restful and wonderful time we had. Many thanks to Robert and Ruth for sharing there
cottage with us. Ps Also a massive thank you for the birthday card I was very touched
x We will certainly be back it was the best week ever. Many thanks

Weather absolutely awful. Hasn’t stopped raining all week. We now
know why the Lakes are always full of water. But the cottage just as delightful as
ever, with lovely log fires every evening to shut out the weather.

Thanks Janet North Wales.

Another fabulous week. The snow at the end of the week was gorgeous
and sitting next to the log fire was heaven. We will be back
John, Pat, Alan and Carol.

Perfect weeks holiday. Weather was amazing did not think to pack shorts
for February! Cottage was fabulous. Thank you, Alison and Jan.

A week of two halves! Sunbathed in garden on Tuesday, by Thursday
and Friday rain and gale force winds. But have had a brilliant week. Fantastic fire,
on every night what ever the weather. Chose a good week as it was so quiet, could
walk into the pubs on night and have a meal no bother. Best two meals of the week
in the White Lion. Cottage lived up to the expectations and more. Normally stay at
the Patterdale Hotel but this was so much better and brought Son and Daughter in
law (only married a few months)
Wendy, Brian, Jamie and Natalie x
Thank you very much.

A very comfortable and well equipped cottage. A great walking holiday
despite the rain, gales and earthquake!
Best wishes Joyce and Paul

Don’t go in White lion Pub! Best food is Ratchers and Brackenrigg Pub.
Great walks, hardly drove all stay. Angle Tarn with snow great.

Fantastic weather all week, only one day of anything other than sunshine.
Great new Toaster and the slow cooker proved fantastic.
As always the cottage was
brilliant, comfortable and homely.
Thank you again the guys.

We have enjoyed another week here. The weather has been a lot different
from last year, and the snow was wonderful. The real fire has been used every night,
we didn’t get in as much walking this time and got out more in the car. Went to see
the Golden Eagle at Haweswater, got a glimpse but then had a snow blizzard so he
was hidden. Stopped in Askham on the way back for lunch and can recommend the Queens
Head Inn for meals, wonderful, staff and food and setting. Sorry to be going but
we will be back, it’s a lovely house for the family to get together and not get under
each others feet.
