It’s the first time we have stopped in a house normally stop at the
Inn On The Lake this was much better and the cottage is really nice. Everything to
hand including baking trays, my four year old wanted to make some cakes, he loved
the cottage especially the balcony, he thought the house was a maize he does not
want to go home, he thinks this is his new home. Beautifully decorated and well kept.
We love the open plan kitchen. We got married at the Inn On The Lake and we return
to Glenridding as we have fond memories. We will recommend to our family. Once again
thanks for a great stay.

Well what can we say! This cottage is a little gem which surpassed our
expectations, loved it. Weather was not to pleasant, but what the hell, it’s the
Lakes. We were so pleased we invited Barry and Lorraine over. They were also blown
away, needles to say we have all decided to come back together.
Michael and Sharon,
Tyne and Wear.
18 March 2007
An excellent cottage, thoroughly enjoyed staying and the views from
the balcony is superb. Obviously well looked after and immaculate. As for the weather
we enjoyed while we were here, we had four excellent days, two of which coats were
not needed up on the fells. We couldn’t have wished for better weather in mid Summer.
24 March 2007
What a fabulous Cottage! All the mod cons and home comforts. We really
have had a great week at Keldas View Cottage. We have had every kind of weather possible
too – from snow on Swirral Edge to sun on the gorgeous top terrace here!! Thanks
for a great week.

7 April 2007
We struggled to think what to write as everyone had said it all. After
much thought we came up with “best view from a loo” (upstairs) Best use of storage
(downstairs loo) The neighbours have all been friendly, the lady at the B+B down
the road makes a mean sticky toffee pudding (gives cartmel a run for its money) we
will definitely return it has been a graet week. Thanks Nick, Ginette, Matthew, Lauren
and Nikki, Stourbridge and Birmingham.

We have been visiting the Lakes regularly for almost 20 years and have
stayed in many cottages all in the Lake District. This must be one of the nicest
we have stayed at. Love the room with a view at the top.
Glenridding has everything
we want, fantastic walks from the door, a friendly sailing club from which to hire
boats, I don’t think anywhere more beautiful to be sailing.
The weather has been perfect,
over two days we walked the Eastern side of Ullswater: from Pooley Bridge to Arthurs
Pike, Bowscale Pike to Howtown. Then from Howtown over Hallin fell and on the shore
path to Patterdale and Glenridding. Ullswater Steamers meant there was no need to
get in the car. However the Royal Oak at Dockray was worth a car journey, we enjoyed
the two suppers we had there very much.
Thanks for making the cottage so comfortable.
We are sad to be leaving this morning, but this is bitter sweet; we know we will
be back before long.
Ela, Nigel, Lucy, Robin and Harriet French from Leamington Spa

Now let me think. Go back to the overcrowded South East and a stressful
job … or stay here and lock all the doors? No contest! You so nearly had two squatters!
Weve had a wonderful week in your beautiful cottage. The weather has been incredibly
kind to us, hardly any rain and lots of glorious sunshine to show off the magnificent
autumn colours. Thanks for all the care you lavish on this lovely house, ah well
… I suppose I should unlock the doors now …. Big sigh
